A rare solar eclipse and the last of this decade mesmerized the residents of the UAE this morning. 

At around 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, people in the country witnessed a phenomenon called "ring of fire." This happens when the Moon travels in front of the Sun but doesn't cover it completely, leaving a ring of light around the black astronomical body. 

This happening hadn't occurred or been visible in the UAE for 172 years, and won't take place for another 83 years. These facts thrilled the residents in the country and had them up and waiting with their glasses at 6 a.m.
