Last week, a football game in the UAE came to a stop after an individual invaded the pitch ... with his car.
The under-18s UAE league match between Al-Jazeera and Shabab Al-Ahly was suspended after the driver invaded the pitch for approximately 16 seconds, circling the players before speeding off.
The footage was captured by Sharjah Sports TV and widely shared on social media. Some online users, who tweeted the video, found it funny whilst others deemed the fan’s behavior as reckless, inappropriate, and dangerous.
Many have also called for the perpetrator to be persecuted as this sort of behavior is not welcomed within UAE society.
