If you're Lebanese and live abroad, you know there are few things that are bound to happen when you come back home for a visit.

While some of them are absolutely delightful and heartwarming, others are, well, not that amusing.

Here's a walk through some of the things that'll happen right from when you land in the country to the day you fly back.

1. The entire family welcomes you at the airport

Your 3amto, khalto and oh, remember that neighbor who used to live nearby when you were young? Yep, they're all going to welcome you back home.

If you're lucky enough, a zaffe dance group might tag along as well.

2. You stop at a local "feren" for a man'ouche

Because you've missed the perfect smell of freshly baked dough and zaatar way too much.

3. You go on loads of road trips

And get to see a side of Lebanon you've never seen before.

4. You visit the beloved day3a

Because there's nothing like taking a stroll in your hometown.

5. You marvel at food the entire trip

What's better than a Lebanese feast? Nothing.

6. If you're visiting during Summer... you get invited to at least 2 weddings

7. You compare Lebanon to where you live now

This is completely normal.

8. You wish things would change so that you could move back someday...

Because there's just no place like home.

Bonus round: Everyone gives you something to carry on your way back
