After my last post of 11 Lebanese phrases with no English equivalent, I took your suggestions & added a few more making a list of 8 phrases that cannot for the life of me be translated into English without coming off as a joke, despite how serious they can be in Arabic.

4. La 3yonik
For your eyes.
5. Bitsemi il badan
You poison my blood. Bad blood.
6. Safa2o il hawa
The wind hit him?
7. Kol hawa
Eat air.
8. Ma tezghar
Don't get smaller ... please?
What's wrong with just saying please?
