Several Arab actresses have become famous for playing the role of the foreign girl in Egyptian shows and movies. Here's a look at seven of the most famous actresses who have performed in the Egyptian scene as foreign characters.
1. Shahinaz Taha
She played an American flight attendant in two works, the first being "Motarada Gharamiya" (A Romantic Chase) with Fouad Al-Mouhandes and Shwikar in 1968, and the second a play titled "Matar Al-Hob" (Airport of Love) with Abd Al Minem Madbouli and Yousef Shaaban in 1970.
Her real name was Shahinaz Ibrahim Toub Sakal. She is Egyptian, born in 1948, and began her career in 1964 with "Al-Marid" (The Genie). She appeared in several movies, in which she often played the bitter aristocratic girl.
2. Iman
She played the role of the foreign woman in several works, including "Al Sood Ila Al Hawiya" (The Climb to the Abyss) in 1978 with Madiha Kamil and Jamil Ratib, and the show "Al Thalab" (The Fox) in 1993 with Nour Al Sharif and Moustafa Mitwali, as well as the first part of the show "Zizinya" in 1997 starring Yihya Al Fakhrani and Athar Al Hakim.
