Western film adaptations are pretty common in the world and many Turkish series, Arab series and a bunch of others simply copy the plot lines of classic Hollywood films.
In recent years, Arab series have also been taking bits and pieces or the whole story line from western films we've all watched. Here are some examples.
1. Lo'bat Al Mawt : Sleeping With The Enemy
"Lo'bat Al Mawt" was first released during Ramadan in the year 2013. The series features actors including Abed Fahed, Cirine Abdel Noor and Majed Al Masry. The story line of the show is taken from the 1991 film "Sleeping With The Enemy" featuring Julia Roberts and Patrick Bergin.
2. Cello : Indecent Proposal
"Cello" was released in 2015 and features actors including Taim Hasan, Nadine Nassib Njeim, Youssef El Khal and Georges Diab. The story line of the show is taken from the 1993 film "Indecent Proposal" featuring Robert Redford and Demi Moore.
3. Law : Unfaithful
"Law" was first released in 2014 and features a lineup of actors including Abed Fahed and Nadine Nassib Njeim. Its story line is taken from the 2002 film "Unfaithful" featuring Richard Gere and Diane Lane.
4. Al Arraf : Catch Me If You Can
The Egyptian series "Al Arraf" was first released in 2013. It features the prominent Egyptian actors Adel Imam and Hussein Fahmy. The film is an adaptation of the 2002 hit film "Catch Me If You Can" featuring Leonardo Dicaprio.
5. Nos Yawm : Original Sin
A Ramadan 2016 series, "Nos Yawm" features actors Taim Hassan and Nadine Nasib Njeim. It is an adaptation of the 2001 film "Original Sin" featuring Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas.
