We all know that Jordan lacks proper clubs and we all crave a night out where we can just dance until the sun rises.

In the 90s there were Prãna, Nai, Eight and a few others that have since closed down. Ever since, Amman has changed dramatically. Clubs are nothing like White, Sky Bar or any of Dubai and Beirut's fancy clubs.

So we make the best with what we have... as in we transform restaurants and bars into clubs. Here are some of Amman's top pop-up club venues.

1. Esaki

Previously a sushi restaurant, this venue has become a party hotspot. With all the furniture still intact, Esaki has this modern LA clubbing vibe that has impressed a lot of famous DJs. The venue has hosted people like M.A.N.D.Y, Steve Bug, &ME along with a bunch of other local showcases and bands.

Originally a beautiful Italian restaurant with an amazing outdoor patio in Jabal al Weibdeh, Canvas closed down after four years of serving some of the best food in Amman. With a great location in the heart of old Amman, Canvas reopened its doors in 2012 as a club venue. Hosting huge names like Sharam, Daddy G (from Massive Attack ), Danny Howells   and countless other live performances, Canvas has closed its doors once more and everyone is hoping a resurrection will soon follow.

Anyone who partied in Amman between 2010 and 2013 went to Flow at least once. Located in Abdoun right above The Good Pub, this place has been closed for the past few years. Recently however, Flow has become a pop-up club that opens its doors at least once a month for locals to party.

During the early 2000s, Champions was the "it" sports bar and restaurant in Amman. Anyone who's anyone would be there on Thursday night. This year, the venue, which still runs as a restaurant and bar at the Marriott Hotel in Shmeisani, was transformed several times into a club venue, hosting 90s and 80s nights as well as two nights with dancers and DJs from Pacha  in Ibiza alongside people like DJ duo Bedouin, Wankelmut  and several others.
