The region's biggest mass participation sporting event, the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon, is set to take place this Friday. What makes this marathon so overwhelmingly special is the huge number of people expected to run the streets of Dubai. 30,000 people. Yes, you read that right. I don't think I am alone in wishing I could be there, but thanks to social media, it kind of feels like I am. People are expressing their anticipation for the event and to say the least, you will want to put on your pair of running shoes and go for a run right now:
Some started the new year with the Dubai Marathon in mind
With goals & an entire training program in place
Some have kept us updated with their progress...
And all have inspired us with their level of dedication & commitment
Most are welcoming the "tapering phase"… by saying goodbye to their last runs prior to the big day
