Everyone knows them!

As opposed to most countries around the world, Lebanese do NOT like to use street names, building numbers or Google maps for getting anywhere in the country. As a means of giving directions, we are masters at using famous sandwich shops, prominent restaurants, historical cafes and road intersections; and if the places no longer exist, we still use them because it just makes life so much easier .

If you are a tourist, you will pick up on these locations within just a few days of your visit – do NOT try to find these on Google maps... that really will not get you anywhere.
