WhatsApp's trajectory has been closely followed by many and now it seems that the messaging platform is fast approaching the 1 billion active monthly users mark.
Given its ubiquity in the region – and the world – hitting the 1 billion should come as no surprise. What is extra exciting however, is how fast the messaging platform is growing. In the past 8 months, the platform added 200 million monthly active users.
Good thing Facebook owns WhatsApp, otherwise the messaging platform upstart would certainly give Mark Zuckerberg a run for his money.
