Dubai Ruler, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE - and resident animal lover - Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, has just been spotted feeding seagulls in Madinat Jumeirah.

In a video posted on Instagram, Sheikh Mohammed stands by the waterfront, casually tossing breadcrumbs to an eager flock of seagulls.

This isn't the first time Sheikh Mohammed has shown his interest in animals.

The video below surfaced in November, showing the Sheikh casually hanging out with a sea turtle.

It was posted by his wife, Princess Haya, to Instagram.

It seems animals in Dubai sure are in good hands.

In January, the UAE passed a new law targeting the possession, trading and breeding of exotic pets. The law bans dealing in and ownership of all types of wild and domesticated but dangerous animals, the UAE government said.
