Stop reading your Lonely Planet, because UAE Twitter users are listing all the places you need to go to if you visit Al-Ain. Twitter's taking the reins!

Al-Ain is the second largest city in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It's also the UAE's first president's birthplace. Emiratis and expats living in the country credit Sheikh Zayed for making the country an international hub of commerce and oil. He also spoke about the necessity of providing an education to citizens without discriminating between genders. For many people who've lived in the UAE, Al-Ain can't compare to Dubai's hustle and bustle or Abu Dhabi's international fanfare. Instead, Al-Ain is a great place to relax. But that can get old pretty quickly:

Twitter users in the UAE assure us that it's because we don't know where to go, and have taken it upon themselves to guide us to the right places.

Let's start with the obvious locations:

"Heritage village"

"Jabal Hafeet is one of the most important touristic and most beautiful places in Al-Ain"

"Al Ain Zoo"

Now, for a more cultural experience:

"Al Ain's National Museum

Al Ain Castle's Museum

Hili Archeological Park

Hili Fun City

Green Mubazarah

Ain al-Faydah"

With a little local twist:

"Al-Jaheeli Park and Castle

Livestock Market

Al-Bawadi Mall

Al-Ain Mall

Wadi Adventure Water Park

The Souq

Al Ain's Equestrian Club / Palm Resort

Al Bada Resort"

"Rashed Ali's Restaurant"

With all these options, you have your vacation's itinerary ready! Spend two to three days in Al-Ain to explore all these different places.

StepFeed Tip : Both the Zoo and the Waterpark can take up a full day, so it would be best to sacrifice one for the other.
