Graduation is something to be proud of. It's a time for "alf mabrouks" and thinking about next steps ... but some in Saudi Arabia couldn't see past a minor detail.
A photo of female students graduating from King Faisal University brought out the Twitter modesty police in Saudi Arabia. While all the young women were dressed conservatively, with their hair covered, the trolls were offended by ... their makeup.
The haters launched a hashtag: "Faisal University Encourages Makeup" (#جامعه_الفيصل_تفرض_التبرج).
But it was quickly hijacked by people coming to the defense of the successful young women.
