A video of female Egyptian students performing Zumba in the middle of campus has gone viral.
The performance happened at Cairo University as a group of hijabis got together and carried out Zumba-like dance moves.
According to Al Arabiya, the dance was a welcome gesture to new students and the minister of higher education, who was visiting Cairo University to mark the beginning of the school year.
Mixed reactions on social media: many loved the initiative
Others shamed the girls for the way they were dressed
And criticized the way they danced
Some went as far as calling the girls a "failed generation"
But, loads of support came pouring in
And sarcasm won over the debate
