Early Friday morning, Egypt and Saudi Arabia took to Twitter to ponder about the things they'd bring with them on a trip. As we'd waded through the torrent of tweets, we've rounded up the 11 most outrageous ones.

1. Always be prepared for emergencies

"Indomi [noodles] and lemonade"

It's always important to have something to eat and drink in case, you know, you got lost or stranded in a city you don't know.

2. Learn about the culture you're going to explore

"If [I'm going] to Europe, then I'd take a butt sprayer with me."

3. Expect that you might get bored

"Playstation and a [foot]ball"

4. Me time is the best time

"[There's nothing to take but] myself. The most important thing is to travel!"

5. But sometimes you just want to take your best friend

"I would love to take this precious [girl,] if they allowed me to have her in the airplane with me. I would even treat her to a first class seat."

6. Set a budget – and stick to it

"Tide and gas"

7. Visiting a strange country doesn't excuse you from following your customs and traditions

"A pressure cooker and a bag of rice"

8. Understand that not all your needs will be met

"The most important thing is to leave [this place], but I would take tea because it would be a crisis if I don't find any."

9. And you'll have to adapt

"Sometimes I take [extra] bedding to put over the mattress because I don't like to sleep on theirs... some hotels don't clean thoroughly."

10. But it's OK to long for a taste from home

"Camel milk"

11. Still, make sure to set an agenda for your trip

"My mother-in-law, so that I can leave her there and come back."
