Earlier this week, a 40-year-old Saudi educator tragically died as he was giving a lesson at a school in Asir governorate, Sabq news site reported.
Now identified as Nasser bin Abdullah Al Muqbel, the teacher suffered a heart attack just an hour into the class he was giving on Monday.
Students were heard screaming for help after the teacher collapsed. School administrators came into the classroom and realized Al Muqbel had no pulse.
His death came as a shock to many of his colleagues, most of whom had worked with him for the past 20 years.
Asir's Education Authority officials paid tribute to Al Muqbel
Head of Asir governorate's Education Authority, Julwi Al Kurkman, offered the teacher's family and friends his condolences.
In a statement he made on the matter, the official paid tribute to Al Muqbel, hailing him as one of the most dedicated and passionate educators in the province.

Not the first similar tragedy reported this year
In January, the death of a young physical education instructor shocked thousands of Saudis.
27-year-old educator Abdullah Al Shehri was in the middle of a PE class when he collapsed and died of a heart attack.
At the time, several of his colleagues tried to resuscitate him, but he was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.
