A major travel search site in the Asia Pacific and Middle East, Wego.com, has just published a list of the most Instagrammed airports around the world.
If you thought Dubai International Airport, the region's number 1, made the list, then you're wrong.
Qatar's Hamad International Airport made it to the Top 8 most Instagrammed airports in the world!
“Love it or loathe it, Urs Fischer's ‘Giant Teddy Bear’ dominates as a point of interest in the departure terminal, as does the giant moving walkway for transfer passengers between concourses A and E,” said Dean Wicks, Chief Flights Officer of Wego, in a statement .
The airport came out at No. 6 beating John F. Kennedy Airport in New York and Tokyo's Haneda Airport.
Others on the list included London’s Heathrow Airport, Los Angeles International Airport and Singapore’s Changi Airport.
"We've seen an evolution in airports over recent years in terms of design, infrastructure and services, but combine that with more people travelling today than ever before, add a social media platform like Instagram, and you see which airports truly resonate with travelers," said Wicks.
