Nintendo Entertainment System celebrated its 30th birthday this week, and the celebrations have got us reaching for our old Nintendo as nostalgia sweeps us. Remember those times you were glued to your favorite video game, ignoring homework and your parents' disapproving looks? Oh, we do too. This is why, one lonely night, we set out to find our beloved games online, and we found our four favorites.

Released in 1981, Donkey Kong started out as an arcade game developed by Nintendo, before its popularity drove the gaming company to manufacture home consoles of the game.

The Legend of Zelda is a Nintendo classic that, since its first release in 1986, has expanded to include 17 sequels and a number of spin-offs. The game was also adapted to a television show and manga series.

Probably your (my) favorite game ever, Super Mario Bros was developed and released by Nintendo in 1985 as a pseudo-sequel to the 1983 Mario Bros game. A 2005 IGN poll named Super Mario Bros the "greatest game of all time." It was also the best-selling game of all time for a single platform for three decades, until Nintendo's Wii Sports took the bat.
