Palestine has dominated the headlines since Israel was declared a state in 1948, dispossessing nearly 700,000 Palestinians. Few issues have been so polarizing, and so unsettling. But amid the bloodshed, the protests, the occupations and dispossessions, the acts of resistance and the diplomatic talks, Palestinians want you to remember that

#Palestine[is]Beautiful

Palestine is still as beautiful as ever, in spite of the fact that 5 million Palestinians cannot live there, with more than a fifth living in refugee camps. No crisis in the world could ever tarnish the country's beautiful landscape. And people want you to know that.

Nothing in the world could ever kill the Palestinian tradition and heritage

And in the darkness there is a light that never goes out

Because there's so much the country has to offer

As do the people, who are nothing short of strength and persistence

And some will simply melt your heart

And despite everything, hope is the one thing the people will never let go of

Because from the old to the new, it really is beautiful
