A new study from YouGov highlights the food patterns in the MENA region, showing that home-cooked food is at the top of the mind for many people. The study also found a high awareness of food allergies in the region.
According to the study, many people (56 percent) eat food prepared in their household, with females being more likely to eat food prepared at home than males. Perhaps unsurprisingly, people are more likely to eat out on the weekend. Seven in 10 people considered themselves "foodies."
As for food allergies, almost half of the respondents (49 percent) reported having some sort of food allergy, with 15 percent saying that they had someone in their family with a food allergy.
