Despite a slew of attacks throughout the holy month Ramadan, Muslims around the world have joined together in mass celebrations of Eid Al-Fitr, breaking their monthlong fast.
As leaders of ISIS called for attacks throughout Ramadan, terrorists targeted one of the holiest sites in Islam, the Prophet's Mosque in Medina, Saudi Arabia, on Monday along with two other attacks in the kingdom. Just the day before, an attack in Baghdad left more than 200 people dead, coming on the heels of tragic attacks in Turkey and Bangladesh.
Nonetheless, the Muslim world has come together in large gatherings, without fear, to celebrate the joy and peace that comes with the holiday. Here is a look at some of the large gatherings that have taken place around the world.
