Superstar Palestinian singer Mohammed Assaf will be performing for his Tunisian fans at the Carthage International Festival on July 26.

Assaf won in the second season of Arab Idol in 2013 and went on to release his debut album ASSAF in October 2014. Soon thereafter, the United Nations' Relief and Works Agency named him regional youth ambassador. The Palestinian singer was also awarded the Murex d'Or Award for Best Rising Star in the Arab World in 2014, and the MTV European Music Award for Best Artist for the Middle East, India and Africa.

In a promotional video posted by the festival's Facebook page, Assaf appears to be speaking to his fans from "beloved Tunis." He wished them a blessed Ramadan and a happy Eid, and expressed his excitement to perform in the historic city of Carthage.
