Time Magazine released its annual listing of the top 100 most influential people and of course, the highly influential and extremely important Kanye West came in at No. 1. Besides his incredibly significant marriage to the queen of America, Kim Kardashian, Kanye has his successful music career and his memorable mic-stealing moments under his belt to boot.

At least with this listing, he doesn't have to worry about fellow pop-star Taylor Swift receiving too much credit. She made the list, but with Kanye comfortably in the top spot, he won't need to steal her limelight this time around.

Further down the list were several prominent Middle Eastern figures who actually do significant things in the world. It may be difficult to do as much as Kanye, but at least they are trying, right? Right?

Among the lucky regional selectees are Sudanese Mustafa Hassan, child-protection manager at the International Rescue Committee, Lebanese Rula Ghani, first lady of Afghanistan, Prime Minister of Iraq Haider al-Abadi, Saudi Arabian King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi, and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif .

While American celebrities dominated Time's list, making headlines across the American media landscape, the Middle Eastern representatives on the list are all predominately national and political leaders. As an added aspect to the list, Time asks other prominent individuals to write the profiles for each of their top 100 selectees. Although Jordanian King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein didn't make Times cut, he was granted the opportunity of writing the glowing tribute to King Salman of Saudi Arabia.

Admittedly, StepFeed's top 100 would probably look a bit different than Times. Maybe next year?
