The Middle East and Arab world are home to some of the world's oldest civilizations, some of its most unique cultures and some of its most beautiful scenery, leaving them with many famous landmarks and features worthy of celebration.

Citizens of the Arab World took to Twitter Wednesday to talk about what their different countries are famous for with the Arabic hashtag "what is your country famous for?", as they shared their answers with the world.

The popular social networking platform was swarmed with images of historical architecture and diverse cultural beauty.
