Earlier this year, Bassem Youssef joined celebrities from all over the world in a video, asking each and every one of us to stand #WithRefugees through a petition asking governments to "act with solidarity and shared responsibility."
4. John Green casually taking selfies with these Syrian kids in Jordan
Back in March, American author and Youtuber John Green visited refugee camps in Jordan, namely the Azraq and Zaatari camps.
"When you hear about a lost generation of Syrian kids when it comes to education, these are the kids we're concerned about," Green wrote in the Instagram caption .
Green traveled to Jordan with the UNHCR on a mission to help "communicate some of their [ the refugees] extraordinary stories of escape and survival and help highlight the vital role of UNHCR in supporting and protecting refugees."

In September, Stiller visited the UN General Assembly to present Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon with a petition, asking governments to act with solidarity and shared responsibility. The petition was part of the # WithRefugees campaign, with garnered over 1.3 million signatures from people worldwide.

"They were a bundle of smiles and very curious about us and who we were. They told me about how much they love to come to the center so they can meet their friends and read books together. They showed me how to write their names in Arabic and in English," Argon wrote in the Instagram caption .

"I spent time this morning with a mother who was paralyzed after being shot by a sniper's rifle in a besieged area of Syria. She lies in one room, where she lives with her whole family, in a small, cold, makeshift settlement here in the Bekaa Valley," Jolie said .
