Lebanese people usually boast that their country is the "only" democracy in the Middle East, and that their politics are sectarian only because they're so diverse. This diversity is emphasized by the plethora of Lebanese TV channels, newspapers and online websites.
But these media all have one thing in common: They are notoriously sensationalist. The irony, fortunately, hasn't escaped the Lebanese public, who, on Wednesday, turned to Twitter to #TweetLikeLebaneseMedia.
We've rounded up the best ones:
"AnNahar exclusive: Man sterilized by selfie stick"
"An individual altercation turns into a shooting, then a civil war, and the U.S. threatens a nuclear intervention."
"What did the cat post on Instagram?"
"Blood was donated for her, but they injected her with ketchup instead."
"Exclusive pictures: What color are terrorists' favorite underwear?"
"The luffa: why you've been getting pregnant without knowing it. Avoid pregnancy, click on the link below."
"UNBELIEVABLE VIDEO: Dancer shakes waist, leaves many dead and injured."
"Parliamentarian secretly joins Jehovah's Witnesses, has not stopped harassing embassies"
"Today's headline: in Zimbabwe, a frog copulates with an elephant"
