Two Lebanese designers featured prominently on the red carpet last night at the 87th Academy Awards: Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad. Saab, the king of couture, whose designs are a mainstay at awards ceremonies in Hollywood and beyond, had two beautiful dresses at the event.

The 50-year-old native Beiruti has dressed many big names in Hollywood, including Nicole Kidman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Alba, Hilary Swank, Amy Adams, Sandra Bullock, Amanda Seyfried, and perhaps most memorably, Halle Berry in 2002, when Berry won the award for Best Actress.

Murad is a bit newer, but has been garnering lots of attention at recent awards shows. Here is the run-through of the Lebanese dresses on the red carpet.

1. Emma Stone - Elie Saab

Stone's golden dress is a strong contender for best look of the night.

2. Jennifer Lopez - Elie Saab

Lopez has been a big fan of the Lebanese designers lately, as she wore a Zuhair Murad gown to the recent Golden Globes .

3. Chrissy Teigen - Zuhair Murad

Teigen, Sports Illustrated cover girl and John Legend's wife, rocked a racy Zuhair Murad number.

4. Anna Farris - Zuhair Murad

Farris sparkled in this Zuhair Murad dress.

Another Lebanese-inspired touch on the red carpet? Some have credited Amal Clooney's signature gloved-look with inspiring Lady Gaga's latest outfit on the red carpet.

Verdict? Leave the gloves to the Lebanese.
