With a catchy name and an electrifying sound, the not-so-underground Lebanese rock band Who Killed Bruce Lee (WKBL) is crowdfunding its third album and tour in Europe. Partnering with Zoomaal, the band hopes to raise $40,000 by the beginning of October. The funds will be distributed between album recording, launch, marketing, and a scheduled European tour.

WKBL joins a relatively new trend of musicians in the Middle East such as ElMorabba3 and 47Soul who have turned to public support to sustain their musical careers and help achieve their goals.

So far, the campaign has garnered $11,471, 64 percent of their first milestone, which would allow the four-piece rock and electro-punk band to complete album production at Riverside Studios in Berlin. WKBL, who was signed by the German Brainstorm Music Marketing (BMM) in 2014, will team up with producer Victor Van Vugt (Depeche Mode, Beth Orton) to record 12 new original tracks to be launched in January.

A European tour is already scheduled for WKBL, who will perform in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland over the period of a month. The band will need an extra $6,000 to pay for its tour bus and stay in Europe.
