"A salute to a human being whose death gave life to 5 people. A heart, liver, kidneys and eyes. May God bless your soul Sara."
Sarah Suleiman, a 24-year-old Lebanese school teacher, passed away Sunday after being shot outside the Blue Bar nightclub in the Bekaa Valley city of Zahle, The Daily Star reported.
The shooting took place at around 5 a.m. after the suspect, who has since been identified as T. Masri, opened fire at people, killing Suleiman and injuring a man named Simon Mouawad.
According to The Daily Star, a traffic accident had taken place outside the club, temporarily blocking the road. As a technical expert surveyed the scene, Masri, who was attempting to drive through, demanded the road be cleared. He opened fire following a verbal altercation with an unidentified person at the scene.
After the horrific incident, local media reported that a few years ago Suleiman had requested that her organs be donated in the event of her death.
A moving letter she had shared with friends via Facebook messenger a few years back stating her decision has since gone viral, with thousands sharing it.
People also took to social media to express outrage at the incident and share photos of the suspect posing with several weapons.
Following the shooting T.Masri fled to an unknown location and security forces have yet to arrest him. He reportedly has several arrest warrants in his name.
