When Lebanese 12-year-old Bechara Abou Khater walks back to class this fall, he will have more than just a new backpack to show off.
Abou Khater is taking swinging to a whole new level, breaking a Guinness World Record in "Kiiking"- a sport in which the person sways 360 degrees over the swing's bar. The goal is to make as many turns as possible.
After breaking the record for the longest seafood display on Monday, Lebanon registered a second - equally unusual - Guinness record this week.
According to Sports961, the previous record of 666 turns was set in 2005. About Khater broke it by hitting the 800 mark in 34 minutes.
Abou Khater said he had been Kiiking for fun for a while, but he reached 500-600 turns this year.
So how does he make it without passing out? He focuses his eyesight on one point in the swing.
"I'm very happy and tired as well. It was very hard and I had to practice on my breathing," Abou Khater told LBC .
