Starring Salma Hayek, Liam Neeson, Quvenzhané Wallis, John Krasinski and Alfred Molina, the animated adaption of Kahlil Gibran's worldwide bestselling book, " The Prophet ", is up for the Best Animated Feature Independent Film at the upcoming Annie Awards .
The film, which was written and directed by Lion King director Roger Allens, was celebrated worldwide due its breathtaking animation, done by award winning filmmakers such as Tomm Moor, Bill Plympton, Joan Gratz and Nina Paley.
The film is set back in a Medtierraneann seaside village where Kamila, voiced by Hayek, is a house cleaner for Moustafa, a poet living in exile and played by Liam Neeson.
However, cleaning houses wasn't Kamila's biggest worry. In fact, the story goes onto Neeson's attempts to keep Almitra, Kamila's daughter, a character voiced by Quvenzhané Wallis, a free spirited child by giving her the memorable life lessons mentioned in Gibran's book.
