The Palestinian Authority sent 40 firefighters and eight fire trucks to battle the forest fires devastating Haifa last week.

But while the Israeli government thanked countries from around the world for their support in battling the blaze, sharing an info-graphic via its U.S. embassy Facebook page, Palestine got snubbed.

The info-graphic includes airplanes with country flags from all those who sent assistance, as well as a column showing the flags of other countries that lent a helping hand. Suspiciously absent however, is the Palestinian flag.

A faint footnote reads: "Ground assistance received also from the Palestinian Authority."

The Muslim countries of Jordan, Egypt, Turkey and Azerbaijan all provided assistance to Israel and their flags were included. But Palestine? It gets a footnote.

According to reports, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas two days after assistance was sent and personally thanked him. But would it have been so hard to also include a flag on the info-graphic?

The wildfires are suspected to have been caused by arson, leading to numerous arrests. Tens of thousands were forced to flee their homes to escape the blaze.
