Have you ever been forced to sit through an entire movie listening to someone as they munch on crunchy nachos? Or listen to another person chew popped kernels slowly in a failed attempt not to give your ears death? How about loud slurping?

Omar Zain, an Emirati movie buff, has come up with not one, but two solutions.

The sound engineer has launched two crowdfunding campaigns for two different ideas to help people with misophonia.

Introducing the "ShhhHelmet"

You may be wondering what the special characteristics of the "ShhhHelmet" are ... Well it's basically a helmet designed to isolate your ears from the incredibly loud and annoying noises you hear while at the cinema without compromising the sound quality of the actual film.

"Built in synthetic resin, it’s very sturdy. It has a cavity that allows the subject to gently insert his hand with a fistful of popcorns in it.

A mic will record the sounds around you while special speakers channel them into the helmet giving you a Dolby Surround experience," the crowdfunding campaign says.

Next up: The "No Slurp Cup"

Just imagine all the ears that would be saved if such a cup came to be! Wondering how it works?

Well the 'No Slurp Cup' is made of special sound proof material.

"A tiny pump is placed inside the cup. It compresses all the liquid in a small section inside the cup.

To release the drink gently you simply need to push a button on the back of the cup and sip it smoothly without making any noise," the crowdfunding campaign says.
