As a precautionary measure, the company issued a global recall of Snickers, Mars, Milky Way and Celebrations products produced in its Netherlands factory, affecting more than 50 countries .

"While the number of Mars products affected is limited, they have been shipped to numerous countries outside the Netherlands, including some duty free retailers. As a precaution, the product recall is being implemented in all markets served by our Netherlands facility," Mars said.

While the majority of consumers have very little to be concerned about, Mars is definitely going to feel the crunch on its profits.
