A group of television journalists for TF1, a French television station, were expelled from Morocco on Friday because they apparently lacked permits.
The group of journalists arrived in Tangier and their cameras were confiscated because they lacked the necessary permits, according to Morocco World News. However, the journalists decided to enter the country without their equipment.
Finding new cameras within the country, they proceeded to conduct a controversial interview with the brother of Ayoub El Khazzan, a Moroccan who opened fire on a train bound for Paris on Aug. 21. They successfully interviewed him and the interview aired on TF1 before they were expelled from the kingdom.
The expulsion comes on the heels of the arrest of French journalists Eric Laurent and Catherine Graciet who are accused of attempting to blackmail King Mohammed VI.
While the TF1 journalists managed to get their story out, they may not be heading back to the kingdom any time soon.
