It looks like Dubai-based W Motors  is about to face some Qatari competition.

Lebanese-owned W Motors shot to fame after revealing the Arab world's first supercar, the Lykan Hypersport, in 2013. The impressive sports car found international fame when it was featured in "Furious 7" driving through an Abu Dhabi skyscraper.

However, one Qatari entrepreneur plans on launching his own luxury sports car brand called Elibriea .

The man behind the new brand, Abdul Wahab Ziaullah, told Doha News that his luxury sports car will be revealed at this year's Qatar Motor Show.

"This is the first of its kind in Qatar. It took me two years to develop and test, and now I am currently working to develop Qatar’s next super car," he said.

The Qatar Motor Show will run from Jan. 28 to Feb. 1. and will be held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.
