In her project, "The Atlas of Beauty," the Romanian Mihaela Noroc visited 37 countries to create stunning snapshots of ordinary women in different settings.
Spending anywhere from 30 seconds to an hour on each portrait, 29-year-old Noroc traveled around the globe to highlight the diversity of natural feminine beauty, in all kinds of environments and cultures. Choosing subjects that were roughly the same age, she worked to show that true beauty comes in many forms.
She told Mashable that, "Now I can say that beauty is everywhere, and it’s not a matter of cosmetics, money, race or social status, but more about being yourself."
Here are her best 9 photographs from around the world.
