Looking at the timing of their posts, it looks like Old Amsterdam Egypt posted their ad a few hours before Frico did, which has resulted in an accusation against Frico for plagiarism. “We found that Frico Egypt are copy-pasting the same visual in the Mother’s Day greeting post on Facebook page, which we already used five hours earlier,” Old Amsterdam Egypt said, according to Digital Boom .
But really, would Frico Egypt risk copying a competitor in the same industry in the same country for something as simple as a Mother's Day ad? It could be a mere coincidence that the two companies managed to buy the same stock photo, but who knows ...
