If you've been to Dubai's Global Village within the past couple months, hopefully you've had a chance to get some Hugs ...
We mean Hugs Cafe, of course!
The concept cafe was launched by two Emirati sisters who formerly just wowed their friends and family with their special hot chocolate recipe.
"We used to make our own hot chocolate recipe for home gatherings and friend’s occasions, and we got good feedback, so we decided to take it forward," Fatheya Al Sharif told Gulf News .
"My sister and I have travelled extensively around the world and we have found that hot chocolate and milkshakes are such an important part of the whole fun fair experience. We were a little disappointed that Dubai had no such offering and thought it would be a wonderful idea to bring the concept here."
Together with her sister, Fayeqa, Fatheya launched the kiosk, which is located between the Bahrain and Singapore sections of Global Village. Quickly, Hugs became a popular spot for visitors, with it's mouth watering hot chocolate, milk shakes and paratha (flaky bread) bites.
Yum …
And yum again ...
But this guy might be too cute to eat …
The Sharif sisters were some of the young entrepreneurs who opened shop at Global Village with the help of Dubai SME . Partnering with Global Village, Dubai SME has offered a 50 percent rent discount to young entrepreneurs looking to open a kiosk.
