While the world's attention remains fixed on the tragedies in Paris, International travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler has turned its eyes to Beirut.
The publication has not only published a letter voicing its strong solidarity with Lebanon's capital city in the wake of last week's bombing but also has launched an Instagram campaign encouraging Beirutis to share images expressing their city's resilience and pride with the hashtag #LoveLetterToBeirut.
Here is the the full letter published online Wednesday.
Dear Beirut,
We at Condé Nast Traveler are huge fans of yours. We think you’re beautiful. Charming. Smart. Strong. And brave, when faced with terror and destruction. You have astonishing art, architecture, food, and hotels —in fact, we think you're one of the great cities of the world. Below are some of our favorite moments captured in Beirut to show the world just how wonderful you are. We send our love to you and your people.
We'll be sharing more photos of our #LoveLetterToBeirut on Instagram: @CNTraveler .
How can Condé Nast Traveler readers share the love?
Regram a photo or post a photo of Beirut on your Instagram using the hashtag #LoveLetterToBeirut. Tag or nominate a friend asking them to do the same (the more photos, the more love!). Join us in celebrating the beautiful people and city of Beirut.
