Dubai-based startup ReserveOut, the leading restaurant reservations platform in the Middle East, has raised more than $4 million in recent Series A funding round led by regional venture capital firm Silicon Badia .

The fund also saw the participation of other existing investors including 500Startups, iMena Group, and Jisr Venture Partners. ReserveOut will be using the funds mainly for its expansion plans in both the Middle East and abroad, with a focus on its mobile app offerings.

“We are excited to continue providing restaurants and diners in the Middle East with technology solutions that make restaurant management and reservations more efficient and pleasant, and we are very happy with how 2016 has started,” Khalil Shadid, the founder and CEO of ReserveOut, said, according to Venture Magazine .

“We will use this round to reach more diners in the region and to expand our sales presence in existing and new markets toward wider adoption of our Table Management System.”

Founded in 2012, ReserveOut has expanded aggressively.

"We were born in Jordan, nurtured in Lebanon, fed and maturing in the UAE and continue to expand our regional footprint and growth. We are getting bigger," the firm says on its website .

Today, the company is the largest restaurant reservation platform with operations in Amman, Abu Dhabi, Beirut, Doha, Jeddah, Manama, and Dubai.
