Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum took to Twitter on Wednesday, asking universities in the United Arab Emirates to nominate young people under 25 to be considered for ministerial posts.

As the ruler of Dubai and the vice president of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed is keenly aware that youth make up a large segment of the Arab world.

He went on to stress the importance of young people to the future of the UAE.

Sheikh Mohammed further pointed-out that young people helped build the UAE, making it the global hub that it is today.

The leader is active on social media, regularly sharing updates about the country's future plans and ambitions – but this might be the first time he's placed a "recruitment" ad.
