Dubai's Sheikh Mohammed calls for nominations for a youth Cabinet minister for the UAE.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum took to Twitter on Wednesday, asking universities in the United Arab Emirates to nominate young people under 25 to be considered for ministerial posts.

I would like to choose a young person under the age of 25 to represent our youth, their issues and ambitions as a UAE government Minister.

I ask every UAE university to nominate 3 young men and 3 young women who graduated in the last two years or who are in their final years

As the ruler of Dubai and the vice president of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed is keenly aware that youth make up a large segment of the Arab world.

He went on to stress the importance of young people to the future of the UAE.

Sheikh Mohammed further pointed-out that young people helped build the UAE, making it the global hub that it is today.
