Built by Kagomi, a Japanese food manufacturing company, this cute robot sits on a runner's shoulders, feeding them tomatoes while they run ... marathons.
Because scientists say tomatoes help marathoners, right ? Right ? Thank God Bart Yasso wasn't in on that board meeting.
The robot weighs an extra 8.1 kilos, so just in case you weren't exhausted from running 40 kilometers already, you get to carry an 8 kilo robot on your shoulders.
But apparently, Kagomi believes in this idea. And is proud.
Hence their video, that is reportedly a publicity stunt in advance of the 2015 Tokyo Marathon. But, just in case you were worried this robot is just a publicity stunt, it does actually exist.
How it will fare on the open market, or if it will even make it there, is another question.
