6 ways our moms are stuck in the past

The digital age has given rise to so many different ways of doing things. We've gone from using floppy disks, to CDs, to hard disks and then the cloud. So much has changed in the last 30 years.

Our Arab moms have not accepted the fact that times have changed. They just won't let go of these 6 things, even if you died trying to convince them:

No matter how hard you try explaining to your mom that travel agents are pretty much useless nowadays, she just won't be convinced. She starts with things like: "What if we book online and it doesn't work and we show up there and end up on the streets?" OK, maybe that's a bit of a stretch, but no like, really. Travel agents are her only option. Don't even try convincing her otherwise.

I mean, I can't blame our moms for this one honestly. There's something about developing photos that cannot be replaced. But, I mean, our moms kind of take it to another level. Developing every single photo ever taken and compiling them in a photo album is a must. Even if you try explaining to her that there's no need to develop every single photo, that you can just save them for her on a hard drive, she just won't understand.

There's no way to convince your mom that using credit cards online and offline is an actual thing now, and that almost all businesses are switching over to online payment methods. Although, there is no point in carrying enormous amounts of cash when going out, relying on ATMs is a definite no-no in mama's head.

Even if you offered to pay for your mom's cell phone bill, she just won't ever get rid of the house phone. And the best part of it all, is that she still uses the home phone SO much that you kind of feel bad if you made her get rid of it. Even with the introduction of Whatsapp and Whatsapp Calling, she always resorts to using the home phone.

Even if you try explaining to them that you can download music on your phone and connect it to the car via an AUX cord or bluetooth, there's just no way she can give up burning CDs and sometimes even buying the CDs from a local music shop.

Teaching your mom how online streaming works is just exhausting. She won't give up satellite, something many people won't give up, although there are numerous options available for people on the Internet nowadays.
