There's something about Eid that makes it so special for kids. Unfortunately, the true Eid spirit kind of fades with age, most of the time anyway.
From buying new clothes to getting a eideyah, these 6 things about Eid kinda make you want to be a child again:
And kudos to those who have embraced all these things even as an adult!

When you start making your own money and when you have kids of your own, eideyah kind of goes extinct.
2. And receiving gifts too, without having to give anything in return
Although exchanging gifts is pretty common during Eid, the awesome thing about this ritual as a kid is the fact that you don't have to go gift shopping. You just sit back and enjoy gift-receiving.
3. Shopping for new clothes to wear on the first two days
It's great if you still shop and wear new clothes during Eid, but for those like myself who kind of got over the ritual, it's kind of a pain to know that you will probably be wearing the same pair of jeans you were wearing the day before.

5. Waiting for the big family gathering so you can play games for hours with all your cousins
At a young age, you pretty much get along with anyone who likes to play the same games as you. But, as you get older you kinda realize you can't like everybody.
6. Not being obliged to go visit your distant cousins
