Saudi Arabia gets much media attention ... but one aspect that is often overlooked is Saudi humor.

This past year showcased the lighter side of Saudis perfectly.

1. That time when Saudi snapchatters impersonated Trump

Back in November, Saudi Snapchatters imagined what it would be like if US President-elect Donald Trump came to the region for a visit.

The Snapchat story opened with a young Saudi announcing that Trump has finally arrived to the compound. Quickly, the men of the family (and some paparazzi) head out to welcome the new American president.

"Trump" gets a taste of some tradiitonal khobiz mohala, comparing the sweet bread to donuts.

2. When someone made a carpet out of snow ... for the fun of it

A video of a man rolling layers of snow into a carpet has made the rounds on the Internet.

The man, who appears to be middle-aged, is caught folding white snow into a carpet-like shape as he enjoys the cold temperatures in the northern part of the kingdom.

As he rolls the "carpet," rusty orange sand appears below his feet. He then tries to carry his snow carpet before realizing it's way too heavy.

3. And decided to "ski" in the kingdom

4. That time when it got way too hot for this lizard

Saudi Youtube channel SH67AT released a video of a lizard seeking some shade back in July, hilariously showing just how bad the heat in Saudi Arabia is.

The video garnered over 4 million views since it was released.

5. When this Saudi man tried riding a hoverboard, and ended up crashing through a window

Earlier in February, a video of a Saudi man riding a hoverboard made the rounds on the Internet.

The man struggles to keep his balance and eventually loses it completely and smashes through a window nearby.

6. "La 3yoon bint Trump" brings poetry to life

A Khaleeji poet composed a romantic short verse titled "For the eyes of Ivanka Trump" and shared his words via a not-cheesy-at-all clip.
