5 verses to live by from Prophet Muhammad

Coexistence and humanity come first.

Cairo's main Coptic house of worship was bombed on Sunday, coinciding with the Prophet Muhammad's birthday.

The bombing killed at least 25 people and injured more than 40 others.

Following the attack, Muslims from all around the world stood in solidarity with those affected by the tragic attack on Cairo's Coptic Christian community.

Coexistence is at the core of Prophet Muhammad's teachings. Here is a reminder that the prophet's teachings say that humanity comes before everything.

1. "Feed the hungry, visit the sick and free the captive."

2. "The best of people is one from whom good accrues to humanity."

3. "Do you know what is better than charity and fasting and prayer? It is keeping peace and good relations between people, as quarrels and bad feelings destroy mankind."

4. "Kindness is a mark of faith, and whoever is not kind has no faith."

5. "The best of you are those who are best to the women."
