When it comes to a Lebanese family, you will always find at least one of these personalities:
1. The grandfather
He’s the boss of the family.
Everyone respects him and no-one dares to go against his will. He has the final say in all matters, he’s the one and only jeddo.
2. The grandmother
She’s the glue that holds the family together and always makes sure you're well fed.
P.S: For your own safety, do not insult your grandmother by refusing to eat her food; you can worry about losing those 10 extra kilograms later.
3. The gossip girl of the family
There's always that family member who knows everything about everyone. They are willing to break the news to whoever will listen and will spare no-one.
4. The saint of the family
They're never absent, never away, and they certainly never miss a family gathering.
They pretend to be perfect and whole, and you're not sure if they're anybody's favorite.
5. The pride of the family
That family member (usually the cousin) who always outshines you.
They are often the center of attention in terms of their achievements, whether at school or at work.
