After 16 days of being in Dearborn for winter break, I realized that it's actually really hard to miss Lebanon while you're there. No doubt, I missed things like my bed and my routine. But, in terms of missing things Lebanon has that you'd think a state in the West wouldn't have, I can guarantee you'll find everything. Here are 19 reasons why it's hard to miss Lebanon while in Dearborn:

1. Lebanese restaurants exist on every corner

2. And Arabic speaking people are everywhere

3. Arabic signs too...

4. Misspelled words on public signs are just as common

5. Arabic coffee is served in those traditional cups

6. The weirdest pickled food are served while dining out...

7. Smoking argileh is just as accessible considering the many hookah lounges

8. Garlic dip is served with anything & everything...

9. Hot warm pita bread accompanies almost any meal

Fresh out the oven!

10. Freshly baked mana2eesh exist too

Not all bakeries are as good, but they do exist!

11. "Lahme on lahme" is not something foreign, it's normal

12. TV stations are always tuned to Arabic channels and news

13. Appetizer combo platters look like this

14. Good knafeh CAN be found

15. And "Lebanese" parties are an actual thing

16. Halal meat is kinda a given, no need to go searching for it
