Have you ever thought about how your searching habits on Google have changed over the years? Well, not only have we seen technological advancements, but there's something quite different in how people "google" things nowadays.

In a way, we're much smarter with technology, much more efficient and just know how to get the information we couldn't have gotten a few years back. All taken from Google Trends, here's how people in the United Arab Emirates have changed their googling habits since 2008.

Back in 2008 …

1. People were still kinda curious about their own country

In 2009 things started changing quite a bit

3. The rise of the digital age took off. People had to Google what Youtube, Facebook and Gmail actually were

5. It also looks like people were not sure what love is (See #3 above)

Now in 2012 the Google searches shifted …

6. People were looking for more entertainment, technology, and worldwide trends including "Gangnam Style"
